Sunset Camel Trek & Overnight Desert Camping

3:00 PM – Hotel/Aubergue Pickup (Merzouga Village)

• Meet your guide at your hotel/riad in Merzouga (or nearby towns like Rissani).

• Short briefing on the camel trek and safety tips.

• Pack light (water, camera, scarf for sand) – luggage stays at the hotel.

4:00 PM – Camel Caravan Departure into the Dunes 

• Ride your camel through the golden Erg Chebbi dunes (1-1.5 hours).

• Stop at scenic spots for photos and to watch the sunset (magical orange hues!).

• Your guide (often a local Berber) shares stories about desert life.

 6:30 PM – Arrival at Luxury Desert Camp 

• Welcome with Moroccan mint tea and dates.

• Settle into your private tent (luxury options feature real beds, rugs, and electricity).

• Relax in the common Berber lounge with cushions and lanterns.

8:00 PM – Traditional Moroccan Dinner & Entertainment 

• Feast on a tagine (chicken/vegetable), couscous, salads, and fresh fruit.

• Live Berber music & drumming around the campfire.

• Stargazing (Merzouga has some of Africa’s clearest skies!).

 Overnight in the Desert

• Sleep under wool blankets (warm even in winter) or step outside to see the Milky Way.
